Sara Webber founded Berkeley Food Network seven years ago to reimagine food assistance in Northern Alameda County.

Dear Community,

We would like to announce that our founding executive director, Sara Webber, has made the decision to retire from her role at the Berkeley Food Network (BFN). Sara’s leadership and dedication have been instrumental in establishing and guiding BFN’s growth and impact in the community. Throughout her tenure, she successfully navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring exceptional impact and continued service delivery. Sara has chosen to retire to devote more time to her family and other interests. With pride in her accomplishments, Sara believes BFN is well-positioned to expand upon its founding principles and vision with new leadership.
